Arthritis
Arthritis is a very common condition that chiropractors see. This is a condition when the joint becomes inflamed and the cartilage within the joint begins to wear down. It can be a painful process, and often presents with stiffness in the joints. We should expect some degree of arthritis as we age, due to the wear and tear of decades of daily life and work. However, other forms of arthritis can result in the aggressive breakdown of the joint.
If it isn’t treated?
if left untreated, the pain may worsen, the joint may get stiffer and more restricted. Movement can become painful. At its worst, the joint may break down all the cartilage in the joint. this can result in deformities that severely impact how that joint feels and moves. Examples of deformities are bunions, rheumatoid nodules in the hand.

How do we help?
Accurate diagnosis is crucial to ensure we recommend the right treatment. We first ask questions about you and your symptoms. we then do some important tests to tell us more information. The examination will determine what condition you have that is causing arthritis and if you are in the right place for treatment. It may be a serious disease or illness not for the chiropractor to treat. We would urgently refer you to the right person if this was the case. if it is something we can help with, the subsequent recommendations will be specific to the suspected condition relating to your neck pain.
