Hip and Pelvic Pain
Hip Pain is a common issue that chiropractors see. The hip is a ball and socket joint that is very flexible but also very strong and the pelvis is a rigid and sturdy structure. They both work together to support the weight of everything above it and plays a crucial role in facilitating the functions of bending, lifting and supporting the legs through movement. The area can be relied on so much, it can be vulnerable to overuse and overwork injuries.
If it isn’t treated?
if left untreated, the pain may worsen, the hip and pelvis may get stiffer and more restricted. Movement can become painful, and bursitis or ligament inflammation can begin to develop. At its worst, it may start to refer to nerve pain down the legs into the feet or lead to weakness. It can be highly incapacitating when the pain becomes severe and it may stop you from being able to walk or bend.
